A suite of Glasgow School for Business and Society programmes have been awarded prestigious EPAS re-accreditation by the European Foundation for Management Development.
The MSc International Fashion Marketing, BA(Hons) Business Management and BA(Hons) International Business and joint honours awards programmes won the international re-accreditation following an evaluation of areas such as programme design, teaching quality, learning experience, internship and international opportunities, the quality of work submitted and graduate outcomes, and commitment to the ERS (ethics, responsibility and sustainability) agenda.
GCU was the first university in Scotland to join the prestigious EPAS global network when the suite of programmes was first accredited in 2015.
Professor John Lennon, Dean of Glasgow School for Business and Society, said: “We are proud to have achieved the prestigious, internationally recognised EPAS re-accreditation of our programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. It is an important achievement for our School and provides both practical and strategic advice that will help us as we move forward with our commitment to further improve the quality of what we do to deliver our mission for the benefit of students, business and society.
Jens Tondel, EPAS Director, said: “I would like to warmly congratulate the eight institutions that have successfully gone through the EPAS re-accreditation process. Their achievement illustrates these institutions’ commitment to the continuous improvement of the quality of their programmes. The highly demanding EPAS standards ensure that the accredited programmes are designed and delivered so that they are both academically rigorous and have practical relevance for students in today’s global environment.”
EFMD promotes excellence in management development internationally and accredits programmes throughout the world that meet the high-quality standards it sets for programme delivery.
