Burns an’ a’ that! Festival Impact Assessment
The Moffat Centre has been commissioned over 4 years to provide a suitable and robust methodology for the evaluation of the economic impact of the Burns An’ A’ That! Festival.
Key areas of appraisal include:
- Visitor Expenditure levels, type and amounts
- Visitor Origins
- Visitor Profile
- Levels of total event attendance
- Economic Impact evaluation via Street survey, stake holder interview and industry survey
|
-
Value of Public and Private investment
- Analysis of Sponsorship
- Review of Marketing and sales
- Qualitative impact (e.g. growth in civic pride, human capital etc)
|
The quality of findings has been used by the Scottish Executive and Parliament as a primary indicator of the value of Burns and has led the Moffat Centre to be appointed to provide the master-plan and economic impact survey for the proposed Burns 2009 Centenary.
