Who We Are

The Moffat Centre is the UK’s largest University based consultancy and research centres. It is based in Glasgow Caledonian University and was initially endowed by the Moffat family (AT Mays Travel Agency). The Moffat Centre is responsible for the production of national and international consumer and market research and business development consultancy and with its profits it funds scholarships for students wishing to study Travel and Tourism (for further details please click here).

Our benefactor

The Moffat Centre was formed in 1998 as a specialist Centre within Glasgow Caledonian University. The Centre was endowed yearly by the Moffat Charitable Trust (see http://www.moffattrust.org.uk/ for more info) which was set up by Mrs. M Moffat and the late Mr. J H Moffat, the founders of AT Mays Travel Agent Chain.

Professor John Lennon is the Centre Director and provides leadership in both consultancy and research activities.
